ADVANCED "VARICAMP" Curriculum
This one-day workshop will go in-depth into the Panasonic VariCam camera and its application including support equipment. Beginning where the VariCamp Workshop ends, the Advanced VariCamp expands instruction on the technology and surrounding support equipment.
The day will start off with menus, detail and sharpness with the VariCam. Followed by an afternoon of hands on labs.
All participants can choose two of the following labs:
Final Cut Pro and the VariCam: Participants will each have their own Final Cut Pro workstation to work on VariCam footage and it’s workflow. Include variable frame rate content.
Steadicam with the VariCam: This lab will cover the relationship between the VariCam and StediCam - why they are a good match. Included in the curriculum - StediCam accessories, and set politics when using StediCam. Participant will get ample time to work with the rig and learn StediCam moves.
Matching VariCams for multi-cam shoots: Participants will learn the tricks in matching F and H model cameras, gen lock and time code. Understanding the complexity of matching camera for a multi camera production will be covered.
