The native 10-bit, 4:2:2 1080p P2 HD VariCam with dual-link 4:4:4 output was tested in the recent Producers Guild of America/American Society of Cinematographers Camera Assessment Series (CAS), which examined the performance of the industry’s top-tier production cameras (e.g., the VariCam 3700, Sony F23, Panavision Genesis, Grass Valley Viper, and RED One).
