P2 Workflow Workshop Curriculum
P2 Workflow Workshop: Join the Tapeless (R)evolution!
Experience a free–form non–linear image workflow from Acquisition to Archive
This dynamic 2–day workshop brings the technology to the professional, and the professional into the process. We introduce the P2 line of cameras and supporting equipment, while illuminating the process of working with P2 to bring data from camera to screen — and everything in between. We cover all aspects of the process, from shooting, to post, to production, so whether you shoot, edit, or produce, this workshop will leave you ready to tackle any size P2 project.
After a brief introduction, attendees will learn the equipment by working with it. Led by industry professionals, attendees get a chance to work with the cameras and supporting equipment, including top of the line cameras and lenses, paintboxes, video village gear, storage gear, and more.
This highly interactive workshop shows students how to manage their data on set, starting with acquisition and going through viewing on set, to viewing, ingesting editing, storing and archiving footage. Professionals guide attendees through the post–production process, teaching attendees to manage the vast quantities of data for editorial.
Over this two-day workshop, attendees will shoot, ingest and edit footage, encountering real-world issues, learning how to choose and change resolution and compression formats, break and fix clips, make production choices and experience the entire P2 production workflow first-hand.
