Tom Vice is a graduate of San Diego State University where he studied Theater Arts. In the summer of 1999 he moved to Los Angeles in the hopes of becoming a huge superstar. After a month of sleeping on a friend's couch in North Hollywood he decided that a real job might be in order. His first big break was as a valet. For several months he parked cars to make ends meet until there was a small accident (the only things injured were his pride and a 1993 Toyota Celica). This fender bender drove him to find other means of employment. In late July of 1999 Tom was hired as a post-production assistant on the hit television series “Diagnosis Murder” starring Dick Van Dyke. His duties included getting lunch, running to the post office, and making sure that the editor’s had coffee every morning. By the end of his second season he was involved in titling, ADR sessions, shooting inserts, and a wide array of post-production processes. After working with Dick Van Dyke and the team for two seasons the show was cancelled by CBS. People everywhere were devastated by the news. With his connections from Diagnosis Murder he found himself at Laser Pacific Media. As an Account Service Representative Tom was able to guide clients through the sometimes difficult and arduous world of post-production. His clientele ranged from episodic television to feature films and everywhere in between. He has had the good fortune of learning from some of the leading professionals in the world of post-production and will continue to share his knowledge with his new team at PlasterCITY Digital Post.
