Stephen Beres currently serves as Chief Technical Officer for PlasterCITY Digital Post (PCDP) of Hollywood, California, an acknowledged leader and innovator in post-production processes for feature films, commercials, music videos, and non-fiction programming. As system architect for PCDP’s nonlinear editing facility-designed around Apple Final Cut Pro and central storage-Steve has been a key player in developing the industry’s first 4Gb SAN solution, based on Apple Xsan technology. A true breakthrough, this solution enables capture and playback of multiple streams of uncompressed 4:4:4 10 Bit RGB material. Previously, Steve earned distinction on television and film projects for Sony Pictures Classics, Mandalay Entertainment, Canada's YTV, Fox Sports, Comedy Central, The WB and many others. Before joining PlasterCITY, he worked with Apple Computer as a Final Cut Pro Trainer and Video Systems Engineer. Steve’s insights and experience have made him a popular guest speaker at The National Association of Broadcasters Convention (NAB), MacWorld and SMPTE.
