HD EXPO March 2008 Speakers

Alan Silvers, Director of Business Development

Alan Silvers started his career producing sports highlights shows for San Francisco television. He moved to Los Angeles to work for Lorimar Television, and subsequently spent seven years in marketing at Universal Studios. His work on trailers and television promotions took him behind the scenes in the postproduction arena. Silvers went on to work on the restoration of classic films at Walt Disney Studios. He was in the forefront of the evolution of high-definition (HD) digital mastering and digital cinema technology. He worked at Cinesite, when that Kodak company pioneered the use of digital intermediate technology during the postproduction of O Brother, Where Art Thou? in 2000. Silvers joined Lowry Digital Images in 2004.
