Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. Mary Jo started in the film business working as an assistant to Robert Redford at his production Company, Wildwood. While there, she was able to explore a few different professional paths, which included working in casting on one film, “The Natural.” Redford helped her move into an apprentice editor position (under the legendary Dede Allen) on The Milagro Beanfield War. At that time, union membership was a nearly impossible achievement and a significant hurdle. Mary Jo has worked on numerous television programs, including all of JJ Abrams series: ”Felicity,” “Alias,” and “Lost.” She is a multiple Emmy™ nominee and won an Emmy for the pilot episodes of “Lost.” She continued her collaboration with Abrams on “Mission Impossible III” and begins work on “Star Trek” in early November.
