Terry Brown: Senior VP Engineering/CTO Technicolor Creative Services

Terry began his career in 1981 as a Field Service Engineer for Thomson CSF Broadcast in Stamford, CT. Shortly thereafter, he was named Regional Field Service Manager for the Western United States, and relocated to California. In 1983, Terry was hired by Pacific Video (now LaserPacific Media Corporation) as an Engineer and Graphics Specialist. In 1990, Terry became the Chief Engineer. During his 19 years with LaserPacific, he has been instrumental in many of the revolutionary developments at the company including the recent development of the 24P, High Definition Digital Laboratory services.  LaserPacific Media Corporation received a Scientific and Technological Emmy™ award in 2001 for its significant contributions to the creation of the 24P High Definition technology.  Terry was one of the four LaserPacific engineering team responsible for working with 13 manufactures including Sony on 24P technology and workflows.  In October 2001, Terry was promoted to Vice President Engineering, continuing the development of new technology for the television and theatrical film communities.

After 21 years at LaserPacific, Terry resigned his position to pursue new opportunities at Technicolor/Thomson as Senior Vice President, World Wide Technology.  In this position, Terry is a member of the Corporate CTO office responsible for advancing technology across all four Technicolor business units.
